The beach in Florianopolis, Brazil. This island is considered the Ibiza of South America. A random guy ran up before we took this photo to tell us, in broken English, about some beach parties that night. We ended up taking bunk E, went to a huge show with Tiesto (…yeah) and danced until 8am drenched in sweat, then got into fight with some cracked out partiers who tried to strangle my friend for not sharing the taxi - but she fought back and spat out some nasty Portuguese/Spanish with a quickness. Then we went straight for the pool and fell asleep lounging outside under the blazing sun and humidity.

The penthouse we stayed at in Rio. We were given diced mango and fresh nectar every morning. It looks calm, but the below us was Carnival chaos in the streets.

The best trip I’ve taken in my life so far — definitely Brazil for Carnival a couple of weeks ago. Landing in Rio de Janeiro made life in San Francisco seem so insignificant.
